We take pride in our ability to continuously innovate and add new features in our Katsana Advanced GPS Tracking platform. Today, we are proud to announce that we have just released a new version of Katsana Platform with the ability to export vehicle travel log to Excel/CSV format.
Exporting GPS travel log to Excel
First, we need to view the travel history
To export the travel log of a specific vehicle for a specific date, view the current location of the vehicle and then use the Search Filter to look for specific time and date. You may either use the Quick Search to view the travel log for today, yesterday, this week, or this month. Otherwise you may also opt to use the Detailed Search filter to view the travel log for specific time and date.
Second, click on the Export to CSV option
Once you identified the exact time and date span that you wish to review in Microsoft Excel, click on the option ‘Export to CSV’.
This option will generate a file that is compatible with Microsoft Excel that will list the vehicle number, the Date/Timestamp of every geolocation data available for that vehicle, the speed, the coordinate (latitude, longitude) and also the address available.
Next, save the generated GPS report onto your computer
Our powerful servers will generate the travel log report in matter of seconds. Once the Export option is triggered, you will be served with a .CSV file. Save the generated GPS report onto your computer.
Open up the file in Microsoft Excel
To view the report generated by Katsana™, open up the file using Excel. At this moment, our columns are split into:
- ID: The row ID of that vehicle in our database.
- Vehicle_number: The registration plate of the vehicle.
- Latitude: The captured GPS latitude.
- Longitude: The captured GPS longitude.
- Speed: The GPS speed in km/h.
- Address: The address associated with the provided GPS coordinates (Latitude, Longitude).
- Date/Time: The exact date/time stamp.
Note One: Since Katsana™ updates the location of your vehicles every 10 seconds, expect to have thousands of data rows in the Report. Thus, becareful and try to limit your export to just a few days or less.
Note Two: The Address column is populated every 5 minutes. This is to be within limit set by Google Map and to prevent abuse.
