Universiti Teknikal Malaysia Melaka (abbreviated as UTeM) is the first technical public university in Malaysia. Playing a big part in nurturing technical leaders across Malaysia, the university has acquired a fleet of new shuttle buses to carry students across campus compound. The fleet manager and university administration have the foresight of equipping the buses with modern telematics and fleet management solutions that would allow greater insight into the productivity, operation costs, safety and efficiency of the fleet.
KATSANA has partnered up with AVIS, the industry leader in vehicle rental & leasing services to equip and modernise the fleet of buses. The partnership showcases a proactive approach in enhancing student transportation through advanced fleet solutions. The initiative involves outfitting 10 shuttle buses with a suite of solutions in the KATSANA Fleet Management ecosystem, such as Mobile Digital Video Recorders.
The modernisation does not only provide real-time monitoring of vehicle locations but also enables comprehensive real-time video surveillance and recording to the KATSANA cloud, thereby fortifying safety protocols and bolstering operational oversight.
